Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Namik Tan said on Thursday that Turkey is pleased that Syria and Iraq have re-established diplomatic relations, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Tan said that Turkey considered the move as a positive step for regional stability.
Iraq and Syria announced on Tuesday that they signed an agreement to restore complete diplomatic ties.
