Experts who attended an international symposium in Singapore on Tuesday called for all countries and regions to work together to fight against the terror threat, specially the chemical, biological, radiological, explosives (CBRE) threat.
Addressing at the fifth Singapore International Symposium on Protection against Toxic Substances, Singapore's Chief of Army, Major General Desmond Kuek, reiterated that to counter the CBRE threats, it requires cooperation between countries and regions, as well as learning and sharing the technical expertise from each other.
He said, "It requires collaboration and technical expertise and buildup and certainly we can learn from all the countries that are represented here on how to build up on our operational capability. "
Experts also pointed out that it is important for all countries to prevent terrorists from mounting biological attacks.
More than 110 participants from some 25 countries took part in the five-day symposium.
