Venezuela's legislature, the National Assembly, welcomed on Friday the installation of all the polling stations for Sunday's presidential election between Hugo Chavez, the incumbent president, and Manuel Rosales, the governor of the state of Zulia.
"This will be an election without clashes," National Assembly leader Cilia Flores told media.
Most opinion polls have had Chavez as the favorite to beat Rosales, the only serious opposition candidate who leads the National Unity Coalition.
Venezuela's presidential election has no second round, and the candidate with the most votes wins.
On Friday, Vice President Jose Vicente Rangel said after a meeting with the National Election Board that there was no chance of fraud in Sunday's election.
"In the electoral process it is vital to guarantee personal security and give them full freedom of movement," he added.
