Wuhan suffers lopsided loss to Binh Dinh

China's Wuhan club lost 0-3 to Binh Dinh V-League in 2006, in its first match at the Binh Duong Television Soccer Cup 2006.

Chinese players displayed a poor performance and conceded the first gold seven minutes into the game.

Chinese defenders made more mistakes to allow in two more goals, one in the 32nd minute and the other in the 73rd minute.

On Thursday, the first day of the soccer tournament held in Vietnam's southern Binh Duong province, Da Nang tied Busan of South Korea 2-2 and Binh Duong, ranked second in V-League 2006, beat Woodlands Wellington of Singapore 3-1.

A total of eight soccer teams, including four from Vietnam and four from foreign countries, are divided into two groups. Vietnam's Da Nang, Vietnam's Binh Duong, South Korea's Busan and Singapore 's Woodlands Wellington are in Group A while Group B includes Wuhan, Binh Dinh, Vietnam's Gach Dong Tam Long An and Brazil's Matsubara.

The top two finishers of each group qualify for the semifinals and the final match is scheduled on Dec. 9.
