Iraqi Policeman killed in bomb attack
font size

A policeman was killed and six others injured when a roadside bomb detonated near Facility Protection Service (FPS) convoy in south of Baghdad on Saturday, an Interior Ministry source said.

"A roadside bomb went off shortly after 11:00 a.m. (0800 GMT) near a FPS convoy on the main road in Yousifiyah town, some 20 km south of Baghdad," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

The blast badly damaged two FPS vehicles, killing a policeman and wounding six others aboard, the source said.

Insurgents frequently attack Iraqi security forces, accusing them of collaborating with U.S. occupation.
