Some 3,000 cyclists of the Critical Mass movement rode through Budapest on Saturday in a campaign for better infrastructure for cycling.

The activists ended their rally by handing over a petition to a Transport Ministry official, reiterating promises concerning infrastructure projects made by political parties in their campaign before the general elections in spring.

Ministry Commissioner Adam Bokor reassured the demonstrators about increased funding slated for the coming years.
