Two Iraqi soldiers were killed and two others injured when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb in western Baghdad on Tuesday, a well-informed police source said.
"A roadside bomb went off at about 10:30 a.m. (0730 GMT) near an Iraqi army patrol, in an intersection on the main road in the Yarmouk neighborhood, killing two soldiers and wounding two others ", the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Earlier, up to 30 people were killed and 34 others wounded in two attacks in Baghdad.
Gunmen blew up a car to stop a mini-van carrying employees of the Shiite Endowment and sprayed the mini-van with bullets in Adhamiyah neighborhood, killing 15 people and wounding nine others.
In southern Baghdad three car bombs parking near a crowded area outside a gas station went off in quick succession, killing 15 people and wounding 25 others.
