Vietnamese PM postpones visit to Malaysia

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has postponed his visit to Malaysia which was scheduled for Wednesday, due to Typhoon Durian that hit several provinces in Vietnam.

Malaysian Foreign Ministry confirmed the postponement of the two-day visit in a statement, local media reported Wednesday.

A Vietnamese embassy spokeswoman said a new date has yet to be fixed.

According to the original schedule, the Vietnamese prime minister was supposed to have a four-eyed meeting with his Malaysian counterpart Abdullah Ahamad Badawi Wednesday afternoon.
