Roundup: Ten U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq

Ten U.S. soldiers were killed in four separate incidents in Iraq Wednesday, the U.S. military confirmed.

Some of the soldiers were killed by roadside bombs and others died in combat, a U.S. military spokesman said, without giving further details.

Earlier, CNN quoted the U.S. military as saying that ten U.S. troops were killed on Wednesday in Iraq in four incidents.

Since the U.S.-led war in Iraq broke out in March 2003, more than 2,919 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq, according to latest media count.
