Polish, German MPs condemn Prussian Claims Society
font size

German and Polish MPs in Warsaw condemned the German-based Prussian Claims Society on Thursday for aiding German restitution claims against Poland.

In a joint resolution, members of Polish-German groups in the Polish Sejm and German Bundestag appealed to the German and Polish governments to "intensify dialogue on historical issues" and urged the creation of a "Remembrance and Solidarity Network" by Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, the PAP news agency reported .

The Prussian Claims Society supports restitution claims by Germans who lost property in Poland after World War Two.

After the World War Two, Germans were deported from some eastern European countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
