The President of the International Federation of Netball Associations (IFNA) admitted Wednesday next year's World Championships could be postponed for a year, according to Radio New Zealand.
It said New Zealand, Australia, Jamaica and England have expressed an interest in hosting the tournament, stripped from Fiji due to the coup.
But all four countries are not sure the champs can be hosted in 7 months time.
IFNA President Molly Rhone concedes they may have to be delayed.
She said it is something the board will have to consider and is certainly not ruled out.
Netball New Zealand's board will meet Thursday with hosting the World Championships to be on top of the agenda.
Fiji has lost the right to host next year's world netball championships, which was due to be held in Suva in July next year.
IFNA announced that it withdrew the event following the coup in Fiji on Dec. 5.
Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase was ousted after a year-long power struggle with military commander Bainimarama.
It was Fiji's fourth coup in 20 years.
