China, Japan and Korea will share patent search databaseGoing forward, China, Japan and Korea will share the patent search database and patent examinations. The Sixth Trilateral Policy Dialogue Meeting between SIPO, JPO and KIPO, was held in Beijing on December 4. Tian Lipu, the director of the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China, headed the Chinese delegation and chaired the meeting. Makoto Nakajima, the commissioner of Japan's Patent Office, lead the Japanese delegation and Jun Sang Woo, commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) lead the Korean delegation. At the meeting, the three commissioners discussed trilateral communication and the framework for cooperation in the future. They signed a summary of the third trilateral policy meeting between China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK). They have approved two projects involving the exchange of statistics and internet service assessment, which are consistent with the mid-period aims of the cooperation.
