Poland has "serious reservations" on the planned Russia-EU agreement but wants to reach a compromise by the end of this year, Polish Foreign Minister Anna Fotyga said Thursday.
"We hope that we will manage to bring the negotiating mandate issue to a positive resolution by the end of this year," the PAP news agency quoted Fotyga as saying.
Poland blocked the talks on a new agreement on partnership and cooperation between Russia and the EU last month and demanded that Russia lift its year-old ban on Polish meat imports.
The minister said she was "moderately optimistic" about finding a solution to the conflict over Russian meat import ban.
