Chinese President Hu Jintao on Friday appointed new ambassadors to seven countries in accordance with a decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC).
Gong Yuanxing was appointed ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, replacing Cheng Tao.
Huo Zhengde was appointed ambassador to the Republic of Guinea, replacing Liu Yukun.
Ye Dabo takes up the ambassadorial post in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Republic of Maldives, replacing Sun Guoxiang.
Sun Guoxiang takes up the ambassadorial post in the Republic of Turkey, replacing Song Aiguo.
Zhang Jungao takes up the ambassadorial post in the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, replacing Shen Qing.
Yuan Nansheng was appointed ambassador to the Republic of Zimbabwe,replacing Zhang Xianyi.
Wang Yingwu was appointed ambassador to the Republic of Chad.
