Senior CPC leader meets Vietnamese party officialLi Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met Wednesday with To Huy Rua, member of the Secretariat of Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee. Li extended his congratulations on Vietnam's accession to the World Trade Organization and successful hosting of the 14th Economic Leaders' Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum held last month in Hanoi. The CPC is willing to enhance exchanges on theory, publicity, ideology and culture to enrich party cooperation, said Li. To Huy Rua highlighted China-Vietnam long-standing friendship, saying the inter-party exchanges are of great significance to deepen nation-to-nation ties and Vietnam will make efforts to implement consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries.
