Russia ready to support resolution on Iran

Russia is ready to support the resolution which the UN Security Council is scheduled to vote on Saturday, imposing sanctions on Iran over its unyielding nuclear program.

A UN diplomat told Xinhua on condition of anonymity that Russia expressed its support to the resolution drafted by Britain, France and Germany in a closed meeting of six key players including the United States, Russia, China, and the three European countries Saturday morning.
