Ethiopian fighter jets bombed the international airport in the Somali capital of Mogadishu on Monday, reports said.

No immediate information about casualties was available now. The authorities of the airport were still trying to assess the damage.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi said Sunday evening the country's troops were forced into war against Somalia's Union of Islamic Courts (UIC).
