Singapore to help Indonesia locate missing Adam Air plane
font size

Singapore is assisting Indonesia to locate the Adam Air plane that went missing over Sulawesi Monday, the Defense Ministry said Wednesday.

The Singapore Air Force deployed a Fokker-50 aircraft Wednesday to help Indonesia with its search and locate operations.

Indonesia and Singapore have helped each other in search and locate operations in the past, according to the ministry.

An Adam Air Boeing 737-400 plane with 102 people aboard was missing on Monday afternoon. After initial reports that its wreckage had been found turned out to be false, Indonesian rescuers launched new sea, land and air searches on Wednesday for the plane.
