Car bomb kills two people in BaghdadA car bomb went off in southern Baghdad on Saturday, killing two civilians and wounding four others, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua. "An explosive-laden car parking near a gas station in Dora neighborhood in southern Baghdad detonated around midday, killing at least two people and wounding four others," the source said on condition of anonymity. Hours earlier, a car bomb targeting the chief of Baghdad police exploded, killing one civilian and wounding three people, including two policemen, an Interior Ministry source said. "Major General Ali al-Yassery, chief of Baghdad police, survived unhurt when a car bomb parking near a fuel station in the al-Nidhal Street detonated," the source said. Also on Saturday, a roadside bomb went off near a police patrol in the Sina'a Street in eastern Baghdad, damaging a police vehicle and wounding a policeman and a civilian, the source added.
