Pyeongchang of South Korea will submit its plan to host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Switzerland early this week.
Pyeongchang will submit their detailed host plan to the IOC on Wednesday. Pyeongchang mayor Kwon Hyuck-seung and a Gangwon Province official are to depart for Lausanne, Switzerland, on Monday.
"The draft plan for the Winter Olympic covers virtually all topics of the Games, such as sports facilities, accommodations and procedures for the opening and closing events," said Kim Man-ki, a spokesman for the Pyeongchang Bid Committee.
The city, 150km east of the capital city Seoul, is competing with Salzburg, Austria, and Sochi, a town on Russia's Black Sea, which were officially put on a shortlist as candidate cities by the IOC last year.
Pyeongchang lost its bid for the 2010 Winter Olympics in 2003.
An IOC inspection delegation will visit Pyeongchang on Feb. 14-17.
