Gold price higher in Hong Kong -- Jan. 12

The gold price in Hong Kong rose 10 HK dollars to 5,683 HK dollars per tael on Friday, according to the Bank of China (Hong Kong).

The price is equivalent to 612.30 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 0.84 U.S. cents at Friday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.7910 HK dollars.
