Nepali House of Representatives (HoR) was dissolved after passing the interim constitution on Monday evening.
"As all 185 members of the House present in today's sitting voted in favor of promulgating the Interim Constitution 2063 and there was no vote against it, I declare that the Interim Constitution of Nepal 2063 has been promulgated," Speaker Subhas Nembang announced.
The HoR has unanimously approved the interim statute before promulgating it.
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has called the first sitting of the Interim Parliament including the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) (formerly known as guerrilla) at 8:30 p.m. (1445 GMT)
The first sitting will be chaired by the eldest member of the parliament Bal Bahadur Rai of the Nepali Congress.
The sitting will also ratify the Interim Constitution 2063 and will also hold discussion on selection of the new Speaker of the interim parliament.
