Death toll rises to 15 people killed, 70 injured in Baghdad twin blast

The death toll rose to 15 people killed and 70 others wounded in a double blast near a Sunni mosque in central Baghdad on Tuesday, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.

"A roadside bomb went off near the Gailani mosque in Bab al- Sheikh neighborhood in central Baghdad around midday," the source said on condition of anonymity.

Another explosive packed bicycle detonated when police patrols arrive the scene, the source added.

A total of 15 people were killed and up to 70 others wounded by the blasts, he said.
