Chinese state councilor to attend annual conference of World Economic Forum

Chinese State Councilor Hua Jianmin will attend the 2007 annual conference of the World Economic Forum to be held in Davos, Switzerland, and visit Austria and Greece, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The Ministry's spokesman Liu Jianchao said at a regular press conference Thursday afternoon that Hua's European tour will last from Jan. 24 to Feb. 2.

Hua is invited by the World Economic Forum, the government of Austria and the government of Greece, said Liu.
