One U.S. soldier was killed and three others were wounded when a roadside bomb hit their patrol in Baghdad, the U.S. military said on Friday.
The attack took place on Thursday while a Multi-National Division - Baghdad patrol was conducting a convoy escort mission in the area, the military said in a statement.
About 3,030 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the U. S.-led invasion in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
