NATO officers start Afghan missionA group of 160 commanding officers from the Szczecin, northwest Poland-based NATO Multinational Northeast Corps are beginning their Afghanistan mission, the PAP news agency reported on Monday. The main group of officers will depart to Kabul on Tuesday. The officers, including 70 Poles, will station in Kabul, where they will form part of the local ISAF command. Their mission is to last six months. The 1999-founded Multinational Northeast Corps consisting of German, Danish and Polish troops is part of the NATO military force. Source: Xinhua |
