Israeli troops stationed on the borders between Israel and the central Gaza Strip shot dead a Palestinian teen and wounded two others on Wednesday, medics and security sources in Gaza City said.

The sources said that a 17-year-old Palestinian teen was killed and two others were injured and detained on Wednesday morning after they were shot by Israeli soldiers.

Khaled al-Najjar, chief of emergency at al-Aqsa Hospital confirmed that Mahran Abu al-Maseer was killed and two other teens were injured and detained by the soldiers east of the central Gaza Strip town of Deir el-Ballah.

Palestinian security sources said the three teens approached a site of gathering trash, outside the town closed to borders between the Gaza Strip and Israel, adding that Israeli soldiers saw them and opened fire at them.
