The Sudanese hijack incident ended on Wednesday as the hijacker was seized by Chadian troops after the plane landed safely in the Chadian capital N'Djamena and all 103 on board are safe.
Reports reaching here from N'Djamena said the Air West domestic Sudanese flight landed at the airport in the Chadian capital at 0830 GMT, which was surrounded by Chadian troops almost immediately after its landing.
Negotiations with the man started straight away and he gave himself up about 20 minutes later, said the reports.
Saif Omer, managing director of the Air West company, said that the lone hijacker, who wanted asylum in Britain, walked out of the plane after it landed in Chad, adding nobody was injured.
The Boeing 737 passenger jet of Sudan was hijacked at around 9: 00 a.m. (0600 GMT) when it was flying on a domestic course, pan- Arab television channel al-Jazeera reported.
The plane with 103 people on board diverted its original course after hijacking and headed to the direct of Chadian capital of N' Djamena, said media reports.
The reports quoted an official of Air West airline as saying that at least one hijacker has a AK-47 machine gun.
