Injured UAE ice hockey player sent to hospital at winter Asiad

Ice hockey player Al Bhaheri Juma from the United Arab Emirates men's team was sent to hospital after a clash in the match against Thailand here on Friday at the 6th Asian Winter Games.

This was the first accident at the winter Asiad. The doctor said that Al Bhaheri Juma might injured the parenchyma in his back,but seemed unlikely suffering a fracture.

UAE team's No.99 Juma collided with Chartsuwan Tewin, No.5 of the Thai team while the match was only played for one minute and 11 seconds. Juma was then stretchered out by medical personnel.

Juma didn't lost his consciousness and he told the doctors thathis back ached very much and he couldn't move. Juma was immediately sent to the hospital nearby.

According to doctor Teng Yufei who accompanied Juma to the hospital, Juma's injury seemed not very serious. He might injured the parenchyma in his back and could miss one or two matches.
