China Enterprises Index ends 2.06 pct down -- Jan. 26Hang Seng China Enterprises Index continues to decline the second day by going down 203.65 points, or 2.06 percent, to close the week's trading at 9,660.66 on Friday. The H-shares index, initiated in August 1994 and readjusted on Sept. 11, 2006, tracks the overall performance of 37 Chinese mainland state-owned enterprises listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Hang Seng China H-Financials Index lost 210.10 points, or 1.72 percent, to close at 12,010.39. The H-Financials Index, initiated on Nov. 27, 2006, tracks the performance of eight major banks and insurers of the Chinese mainland. Hang Seng China-Affiliated Corporations Index went down 130.41 points, or 3.71 percent, to close at 3,380.53. The index tracks the performance of 31 locally listed companies with a significant equity interest held by entities in the Chinese mainland. Hang Seng Mainland Composite Index moved down 97.65 points, or 2.94 percent, to close at 3,3220.75.
