At least three people were killed Monday morning by a suicide bomber, which blew himself up at a local bakery in the southern resort city of Eilat.
The following are major suicide bombings in Israel since last year. Death tolls do not include the bombers.
2006:
Jan. 19 -- A Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up at a sandwich stand near Tel Aviv's old central bus station, wounding 20 people. Islamic Jihad said it carried out the attack.
March 30 -- A suicide bombing at Kedumim settlement in the occupied West Bank killed four Israeli citizens. The al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, an armed wing of the Fatah movement, claimed responsibility.
April 17 -- A suicide bomber killed 11 people at a Tel Aviv sandwich stand near the old central bus station. The Islamic Jihad and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, armed wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction, claimed responsibility for the attack.
2007
Jan. 29 -- Three people were killed Monday morning by a suicide bomber, which blew himself up at a local bakery in the southern resort city of Eilat.
Three Palestinian military groups, the Islamic Jihad, the al- Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades and the previously unknown "Army of Believers" claimed later responsibility for the attack.
