A moderate earthquake jolted eastern part of Indonesia on Tuesday, no casualty or damages reported, Indonesian Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said.
The quake with magnitude of 5.4 struck at 18:58 Jakarta time with epicenter located at 277 kilometers southwest Waingapu regency of the Nusa Tenggara Timur province and at 23 kilometers under sea bed, an official of the agency said.
The quake has been frequent in Indonesia recently.
More than 160,000 people were killed in the country's province of Aceh in 2004 when 8.7 quake triggering tsunami hit the province.
Indonesian is laid on a vulnerable quake hit zone that called " the Pacific Rim of Fire," where continental plates meet causing frequent seismic and volcanic activity.
