France calls for diplomatic solution to Iranian nuclear issue
font size

French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy said on Tuesday the Iranian nuclear issue has only a "diplomatic" solution and France would not "involve in" a solution not validated by the United Nations.

As a permanent member of the UN Security Council, France would "certainly not accept to be involved in solutions which to date have not been discussed by the Security Council," Douste-Blazy told French radio RMC.

"I think that we have to find a diplomatic solution," said the foreign minister."The only way possible, is the way of diplomacy," added the minister.
