Olympic champion Han Xiaopeng led a strong Chinese charge for a top three finish in the men's freestyle skiing at the sixth Asian Winter Games here on Thursday.

Han scored the winning mark of 223.89 points, his teammates Qiu Sen got the silver in 215.63 and Liu Zhongqing had the bronze in 199.55.

Kotaro Kurata of Japan was also awarded a bronze despite a distant fourth-place finish in 157.23, as competition regulations prevent any teams from a clean sweep of the medals in the Games.
