Spain supports to end Colombia's armed conflict

The Spanish government will continue to support Colombia's efforts to end the latter's long-term armed conflict, said Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos on Wednesday.

Moratinos made the pledge while meeting visiting Colombian Vice President Francisco Santos.

Santos introduced Colombia's new anti-drug plans, another axis of administrative policy set by the Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.

Moratinos also expressed Spain's support for the Andean economic integration efforts and a broader proposed agreement on the cooperation between the Andean Community and the European Union.

Moratinos said Spain is interested in boosting the political dialogue, trade and aid between the two regional blocs.
