Two U.S. soldiers killed in attacks in Iraq

Two U.S. soldiers were killed and another was injured in two attacks in Iraq, the U.S. military said on Thursday.

A soldier assigned to Multi National Force - West died Thursday of wounds sustained in combat action in the western Anbar province on Tuesday, the military said in a statement.

In a separate incident, a soldier was killed and another injured while conducting operations in Salahudin province north of Baghdad, the military said.

Since the Iraq war broke out in March 2003, more than 3,085 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
