Dominican journalists condemn shooting

The Dominican College of Journalists (CPD) on Friday condemned a gun attack on the National Information System (SIN) newsroom on Thursday night.

"This is an act of intimidation, which aims to limit journalism in the Dominican Republic," said CPD President Mercedes Castillo.

Gunmen aboard a red Toyota shot at the SIN's building at 11:20 p.m. (0320 GMT Friday), where a journalist was working inside. But he was not injured.

The Dominican police have arrested three suspects, but have not identified them.
