font size

A roadside bomb went off on Sunday near a U.S. patrol in a neighborhood in Iraq's restive city of Fallujah, some 50 km west of Baghdad, wounding all the soldiers aboard a Humvee, a local police source said.

"A roadside bomb detonated near a passing U.S. forces patrol in al-Julan neighborhood, in western Fallujah, damaging a Humvee and wounding all the soldiers aboard," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity, without giving the exact number of the injuries.

The U.S. military did not confirm the incident.

In a separate incident, Iraqi police raided al-Askari, al- Shurta, and al-Jugayfi neighborhoods in eastern Fallujah on Sunday, detaining ten suspects, the source said.
