German Chancellor Angela Merkel is set to visit Abu Dhabi and Dubai, two emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday and Tuesday, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported on Sunday.

In a statement to WAM, German Ambassador to UAE Jurgen Steltzer said that Merkel will meet with Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE, and Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE's Prime Minister and Vice-President.

Accompanied by Federal Minister of Economics Michael Glos and a high ranking delegation of German entrepreneurs, Merkel will address a German-Emirate business forum in Abu Dhabi and witness the signing of agreements between German and Emirate companies, WAM said.

Merkel will also deliver a speech entitled "Challenges for European Foreign Policy" at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research in Abu Dhabi on Monday.

Merkel began her four-day Middle East trip on Saturday, which takes her to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Kuwait.
