DPRK blames Washington's military drills in South Korea
font size

The recent U.S. military drills held in South Korea showed Washington's attempt to preemptively attack the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) quoted a military source as saying on Sunday.

The United States has kept conducting military exercises in the DPRK's neighboring South Korea since the beginning of this month, deploying more F-15 and F/A-18 fighters, said the source.

Also those U.S. B-52 bombers, which were deployed in Guam, recently had carried out flight drills between the U.S. mainland and Guam with the DPRK as the targeted enemy, said the source.

All the drills showed that the U.S. government's anti-DPRK preemptive plan is moving into real actions, said the source.

On Jan. 31, the KCNA accused the United States of committing more than 180 cases of aerial espionage against the DPRK in January, which clearly indicated that Washington was putting "more spurs on their preparations for a war of aggression against it (DPRK) in the new year."
