Algerian gov't to recruit thousands of graduates in 2007

The Algerian government will recruit 3,560 graduates to work for the country's administration, Algerian Interior Minister Yazid Zerhouni was quoted as saying by local media on Tuesday.

The new officials will be recruited from among university graduates majoring in politics, law, science and information technology as well as other domains which are necessary for a modern administration.

These new officials will add to the 2,500 officials recruited in 2005 and 2006, said Zerhouni.

The minister also emphasized on training and retraining of senior government officials in order to respond to "the new needs and demands of the citizenry."
