A roadside bomb went off in a neighborhood in Fallujah, some 50 km west of Baghdad, on Tuesday, killing a civilian and wounding two aboard a car, a local police source said.
"A roadside bomb detonated while a civilian car was passing by in albu-Hatem neighborhood in southwestern Fallujah, damaging the car and killing a civilian and wounding two others aboard," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
In a separate incident, several mortar rounds landed in one U.S. military headquarters in Ramadi City, 100 km west of Baghdad, on Tuesday, the source added, saying that explosions were heard and smoke was seen rising over the scene.
The U.S. military has yet to confirm the incident.
