Hamas not to recognize Israel while coalition government will: sources

Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has agreed that the new coalition government would recognize Israel, but as a political party it still rejected to recognize it, a Palestinian source who took part in Mecca talks said on Saturday.

The coalition government headed by Hamas will recognize Israel but the new thing is that Hamas, as a political party, will not recognize the Jewish state, Palestinian news agency Sama quoted the source as saying.

Meanwhile, the source said that Hamas has accepted all resolutions of previous Arab summits.

However, the source added that Hamas has asked the conferees not to directly mention 2002 Beirut summit, which include the Saudi peace initiative that calls for recognizing Israel, but instead of the mention of conclusions that were adopted in all previous Arab summits.
