Hungary's turkey exports were not the source of a bird flu outbreak in Britain, Hungarian Chief Veterinarian Miklos Suth said Tuesday.
Suth said Hungary had found no such evidence that the turkey or turkey products exported to Britain were behind the outbreak of bird flu there.
A British turkey processing plant at the Bernard Matthews farm in Suffolk reopened on Tuesday, the same day as it suspended operations due to a bird flu outbreak.
Reports on Sunday said the farm had imported turkey from Hungary in the days after a bird flu outbreak in Hungary.
