Kim Clijsters confirmed on Sunday that she will skip the French Open and concentrate her efforts on Wimbledon as the Belgian counts down to the end of her career.
"I confirm that more than likely I will not play Roland Garros, " said the former world number one after losing the Antwerp final to Frenchwoman Amelie Mauresmo.
"The clay court season is very long and is physically demanding. For my last year on the circuit, I want to concentrate on Wimbledon.
"To start the tournament at the peak of my form, I need to be sufficiently rested."
Clijsters, the world number four, has already said she will quit at the end of the year despite being just 24.
Sunday's final here was her last appearance in front of a home crowd.
"It was a very emotional day," said Clijsters. "I tried as hard as I could but Amelie was very strong today and really dominated. We put on a match of a very high level which gives me confidence for the rest of the season."
