Vietnam welcomes Japan-DPRK negotiation on relations normalization
font size

Vietnam welcomes the holding a negotiation on normalizing relations between Japan and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) slated for March 7-8 in its capital Hanoi, a local spokesman said on Thursday.

Vietnam wishes that the bilateral negotiation will obtain positive results, accelerating the normalization of the ties between Japan and DPRK and contributing to the peace and stability in the region, the Foreign Ministry's spokesman Le Dung said at a regular press briefing.

"We are willing to effectively contribute to ensuring the success of the meeting," Dung noted.

Vietnam highly appreciates important results reached in the 5th round of the six-party talks on nuclear issues on the Korean Peninsular and recent positive development in the relations between DPRK and countries concerned, he said.
