Major General Arshad Waheed on Thursday took over as the new Director General of Pakistan's Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) and became the spokesman for Pakistani army.

He replaced Major General Shaukat Sultan, who has been shifted as General Officer Commanding (GOC) Lahore.

Major General Waheed was commissioned in Pakistan's Armored Corps in 1975. He was graduated from the National Defense University Islamabad and Turkish War College, Istanbul.
