Brazil's water polo team crushed Colombia 12-5 on Sunday, winning the South American junior water sports competition held in Venezuela's capital, Caracas, and completing an unbroken list of wins.

Brazil dominated each of the quarters -- 1-0, 3-1, 5-2, and 3-2 -- thanks to good teamwork. Emilio Viera, who scored twice on Sunday, became the team's top goalscorer as a result.

Francisco Gomez, who scored twice, was the top player for the Colombian team, that took silver.

The play-off game saw Argentina taking third, with a 6-3 victory over hosts Venezuela. Venezuela has beaten Chile 10-8, tied 4-4 with Colombian and lost 4-12 to Brazil.
