2 Vietnamese lawyers arrested for anti-state activities

Vietnamese police have arrested two local lawyers for propagandizing against the state, local newspaper People reported Wednesday.

Instigator, Nguyen Van Dai, 38, head of the Thien An Law Office and his accomplice Le Thi Cong Nhan, 28, a lawyer at the office, who were detained on Tuesday, propagandized, embroiled, and conspired with reactionaries at home and abroad to oppose the state and disclaim the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

When searching their offices and residences in Hanoi capital, the police seized many documents and a number of discs containing reactionary information, the paper said.

Local investigation agency continues investigating the case, it noted.
