Vietnam will be qualified for World Cup finals in the next seven years, according to the managing director of English premiership club Arsenal.

Keith Edelman made the remarks Tuesday after attending a ceremony which saw Arsenal sign a contract with local club Hoang Anh Gia Lai on establishing a soccer academy in Vietnam's central highlands Gia Lai province.

Under the contract, Arsenal will also provide technical, marketing, and business support for Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

The Hoang Anh Gia Lai-Arsenal Soccer Academy, which will select a maximum of 20 players from 10,000-15,000 Vietnamese and foreign candidates aged 12 for each training course every two years, will help Vietnam's soccer gain best outcome, Edelman said.
